Foot Drop Splint

A Foot Drop Splint is a splint that can be fabricated specifically for each patient. These are molded from the leg and fit into a shoe. They are used to hold the ankle in a straight position to help with the symptoms of foot drop. It is used when one suffers from a sudden drop in the foot. Foot Drop Splint is medically known as Phalenarthralgia. This happens when the arch of the foot, or metatarsus, does not get enough support and the foot slips off.
